School
My mom called today and asked what we were going to do about my 5 yr old's shool this year. This has been a nagging question in my mind all summer, but I figured if I didn't think about it too much, the answer would eventually come. Well the time has come to decide and as of this morning when asked, I had no answer. However as I started discussing our options (niether of which I was too crazy about) I suddenly began telling her of another that even I didn't think of until it came out of my mouth. It is so funny how if you say never will I do something that that's usually the thing God wants you to do. Like homeschool. My hat is off to any Mom who can stay at home everyday teaching her children because I know it can't be easy. I said even yesterday that I would never do it. But as it would seem that suddenly seems like the best option to our education issues. A little background on us and why this is even an issue; My son is special needs so we lived in Mertzon until this spring so he could be in a small school. They were great, but one of life's tragedies took us away and back here. The only option I thought included a 360 dollar tuition not to mention any tuition for our 4 yr old to go to preschool. That to me is not optional. She needs the socialization and preparation for Kindergarten. So I just wasn't seeing this work out so well financially at all. To the point, today I decided to consider homeschooling my 5 yr old 2 days a week and send him to preschool 3. All the while sending the 4 yr old 5 days a week and putting the baby in Mother's Day Out the 2 that I was working at home with Logan. In the end it will cost about half as much to have all three in some kind of program and give Logan the best kind of one on one he could get. From me! A few more reason to do this came this afternoon; As I told my husband, he said this was something he had been thinking about. He just hadn't decided to approach it with me. Then it also occured to me that if this what I'm getting a degree to do, then why can't I have my very own precious as my first student? Okay enough for today or at least now. I never thought I'd actually sit down and write this much!

Welcome! Well, how about that? Isn't it funny how the obvious things slide right by us? I had not thought of that as a solution...
You're smart!
I think you're gonna love this blogging thing.
With your copious amounts of spare time and all...
Welcome to the blogging world! =) Sorry I've missed both playdates you've been at. For some reason A always tries to schedule them when I'm going to be out of town. I can't figure it out..... =) La
O.K. so you don't have to erase this one.
Welcome. Glad to have you:)
I think that's awesome!!! You'll do great, and it'll be great practice for teaching a classroom. Both my sisters homeschool their kids, and if you need some advice, I'm sure they'd be happy to help. I'm hoping to homeschool my kids, too.
Need anything that I can help with I will be there so times have people to talk to can create an answer that we didn't think of!!!
Happy to see you on the blog!
